True love lies in sharing

Love does not retain anything for the self, does not hoard anything but gives everything. If you want to give to only some people, then, that is not Love. When this love grows, you will reach out to all people in the world impartially. I have something. So, you also can share it. Such 'giving' is only True Love. This is the state of Lord Siva who consumed even poison wholeheartedly, to safeguard and protect all living beings, in this world. The state which exemplifies that 'For good to happen to the world, my love for the people in this world will inspire me to do anything for them.' This is the mental maturity -- love at its mellowed best.

What will people who don't have love do? They will hide and hoard everything within themselves saying they need it all for themselves. What will people with Love say, 'You can take my very bones, if they would help you in any way.' This is the highest stage in Love. The Love of Kannappa Nayanar towards Lord Shiva, by offering his eyes for the Lord, is an example.
